If you are sure about removing Twitter, log in to your account. Then click in the top right corner on the “gear” symbol or currently the “profile icon” and then go to “Settings”. In the “Account” tab, select “Deactivate my account”.
You go down to the bottom and choose the option “Deactivate account”. You are redirected to a page that checks whether you really want to delete your account. To confirm that you want to perform this action, enter the password and click Deactivate.

How to backup your tweets on Twitter
This can be done as follows:
Go to twitter.com and log in to your account.
Click your profile picture in the upper right corner. In the drop-down menu, select Settings and privacy.
Select Account from the left menu (by default, the settings screen opens on this page), scroll down the screen and click Ask for your archive, which you will find next to the inscription “Your archive of Tweets”.
Twitter will prepare a ZIP archive containing all of your tweets (including those that were published by others but were given by you later) and will send a link to the file to your email address. The whole operation takes a few minutes, sometimes a little longer.
Why delete a Twitter account?
